Porsche has confirmed a new supercar is coming, and it has put a date on the first look. The car, a concept the company calls the Mission S, makes its debut on Oct. 15. Beyond the name and the day, the rest waits for the unveiling itself. The timing suits this coast, since the first glimpse arrives a few weeks before the houses from Palm Beach to Port Royal fill back up for the season. Expect the earliest table talk to split along familiar lines: Miami will want it loud, Palm Beach will want it discreet, and Naples will want to know where it parks. For now, the only thing to do is circle the date.
