A Lake Worth Alternative, With Fewer Neighbors: Two Dozen Cottages on Lake Keowee

Old Edwards Reserve has unveiled Laurel Village, a set of 24 cottages on the shores of Lake Keowee in South Carolina. Twenty-four is a number a Palm Beach hostess would call an intimate guest list and a Miami developer would call a rounding error, and Naples, as usual, would simply nod. The cottages are meant for an easy, refined kind of life by the water, a different shoreline from the Atlantic or the Gulf, with fresh water in place of salt.
