Tequila Meets Champagne in Clase Azul's Día de Muertos Bottle
Clase Azul has released a new top-tier tequila for its Día de Muertos line, and part of its time in wood was spent in casks tied to Champagne. The release opens a new stage for a series the house reserves for its most rarefied pours. For the American table, it's an unusual meeting: agave from one great drinks tradition finished with the influence of another, timed for the holiday it's named for. We haven't tasted it, so we won't say how it drinks. That pairing alone is enough to make a collector look twice.
