Seven Reasons to Order the Home-State Syrah Tonight

· 1 min read

Robb Report Dining has singled out seven California Syrahs it considers worth opening without delay. For a Los Angeles table, that is a short, useful list: the grape grown a few hours up the coast, poured at its best, with no need to look toward the Rhône. The selection makes the case that the state's Syrah has earned a place on a serious wine list alongside its better-known Cabernet and Pinot Noir. Ask the sommelier what is open from California before you ask for anything else.

With reporting from Robb Report Dining.
