Breeders' Cup Contenders Get Their Counterparts From Other Sports

America's Best Racing has published a feature that pairs this year's Breeders' Cup contenders with matching figures from other sports. The idea treats the Thoroughbreds headed for the championships as athletes in the full sense, each one compared with a counterpart that fans of other sports would recognize. For readers who follow both the racecourse and the stadium, it gives an easy way into a field of horses that may still be new to them. With the 2026 Breeders' Cup coming up, the piece is a good-humored way to meet the horses before they go to post.
