Ford Is Taking Names for the 2028 Fathom Before Anyone Has Seen It

· 1 min read

Ford has begun collecting names of buyers who want a place in line for the 2028 Fathom, its electric car priced below $30,000. The car itself has not been shown yet. Orders will not open until 2027. What is open now is an invitation list, and Ford is signaling that a spot on it may be the way to secure a chance to order when that time comes. For a model that does not exist in public yet, that is an unusually early call to anyone who wants one in their driveway.

With reporting from Car and Driver.
