A Factory-Used Ferrari Daytona SP3 Goes Under the Hammer October 31
A 2022 Ferrari Daytona SP3 that Maranello put to work promoting the model, rather than delivering it to a customer, is headed to the block. RM Sotheby's will sell the car on October 31. The Daytona SP3 run was capped at 600 cars, and each one left the factory with a sticker that began at $2.2 million. The figure now attached to this lot is $13 million, roughly six times what a first owner paid for a standard build four years ago. That figure is the auction house's and the source's, not ours; what the hammer actually says on the night is the only number that counts. What separates this chassis from the other 599 is its provenance, since a car Ferrari itself used in the model's launch carries a paper trail no private delivery can match. For the collectors in Palm Beach and Beverly Hills who already keep an SP3 in the garage, the result will be the first serious public marker of where the model's upper end sits.
