Alpine has unveiled a design study it calls the A310 Vision, built as a single example with an electrified drivetrain. Its signature detail is a pair of headlamps that drop out of sight rather than rising into view, the opposite of the retractable arrangement most enthusiasts picture. Nothing has been promised for the showroom, but the study is being read as a possible preview of a car customers could one day order. For American collectors, it is a nameplate worth keeping an eye on.
