Seven Beds That Sleep Two and Show One

· 1 min read

Architectural Digest has gathered seven trundle beds, the type with a second mattress stowed beneath the first, selected for clean lines and for the floor area they hand back to a bedroom. Interior designers supply the commentary on each piece and on how it anchors the room around it. For the American house where the guest room doubles as a study, or where a child's room must take in a cousin for a long weekend, the logic is simple: one bed by day, two by night, and nothing in the furniture to give the arrangement away. The list is drawn for 2026.

With reporting from Architectural Digest.
