A Members' Club Near the Top of the Chrysler Building

· 1 min read

Tishman Speyer, the Chrysler Building's owner, has drawn up plans for the Midtown Manhattan tower. Three pieces are named: renovation work on the building, a fresh purpose for its concourse level, and a members-only club high up in the tower. The plans reach from the floors below the street to the upper stories. For a New York reader, that means the work covers the levels people pass through every day and adds a room that, by the nature of a private club, will be open to only a few. Few addresses in the city are as recognizable as this skyline landmark, and plans of this scope for it deserve attention on that basis alone.
