Fall 2026's Eye Color Has a Crown on It

The shade on the lid this autumn is purple, and it has already made its rounds of the step-and-repeat and the runway walk. Before anyone groans, the finding is that the color behaves itself: from a wash of lilac to a deeper plum, it reads as flattering rather than costume. For a pageant season that will put more than one tiara under hot lights, a tone that has literally been the color of royalty seems a fair choice.
