The cotton in next season's closet may have already been in someone else's. Fashion for Good has set up a project to move mechanically recycled cotton from the pilot stage into labels' actual production runs. The fiber itself, by the organization's account, is capable of being produced in volume now. What has lagged is the willingness of the houses to commit, and that is the hesitation this effort is meant to put to rest.
