BMI will name Jeffrey Steele a BMI Icon, one of the highest distinctions the performing rights organization gives. He will receive it at the 74th annual BMI Country event, which is coming up soon. In this town, a title like that is noticed by people who spend their working lives around songs and the people who write them. Nashville will be in the room when it happens.
