Laika Puts Decemberists Track From "Wildwood" Into the Oscar Song Race

The animation studio Laika is entering "The Better Part of Bravery," a song written for its animated film "Wildwood," for consideration in the Academy Awards' original song category. The Decemberists perform the track. The submission places the song among the contenders the Academy's music branch will weigh as the awards season gets under way, a calendar that local readers follow closely. Laika has not announced anything beyond the submission itself.
