Andrew Garfield says his role as Sam Altman in Luca Guadagnino's film "Artificial" changed the way he uses ChatGPT. The film tells the story of how OpenAI, the company Altman leads, got its start. Before he took the part, Garfield was one of the chatbot's roughly 1.2 billion users and used it mostly as an upgraded search engine. He said that after playing the company's chief executive, he stopped using it that way because the experience left him somewhat frightened.
